Our Final Day in Acadia

Day 15: Downeast Maine (Day 6)
Route: Frenchman Bay Retreat - Wonderland Trail - Ellsworth, ME - Frenchman Bay Retreat
Distance Traveled: 65 miles

For our last day at Acadia we decided to head over to Wonderland Trail past Southwest Harbor on the other side of Mount Desert Island...

 Next we spent a little time exploring the cobblestone beach and tidal pools...




They couldn't resist getting their feet wet :)

After our hike we stopped at the only lighthouse in Acadia accessible by land...




We went back to Ellsworth for dinner before heading back to the house to pack...

Back to Frenchman Bay Retreat to pack and say goodbye...

One last look at Acadia...

Today's Activities: A picnic lunch at Wonderland Trail followed by a 1.4 mile hike, Tide pool investigating, Rock skipping, Sea glass hunting, A visit to a lighthouse, A stop for dinner in Ellsworth, A final sunset at Frenchman Bay.
