Route: Port Huron, MI - Canadian Border - Niagara Falls, ON
Miles Traveled: 195 miles
Port Huron, MI, USA
We started the day with breakfast and a quick dip in the pool.
On to the border...
Lilyana & Emmalin used their passports for what we hope will be the first of many trips abroad!
Time for our first stop in Canada...
Greg couldn't resist stopping at Tim Hortons. After listening to our Canadian colleagues in Korea go on and on about it, it seemed a fitting first stop.
Our first view of the falls from our hotel room! What a view :) Thanks to the kind receptionist who upgraded us to a double falls view!
I think Emma was trying to hug the falls!
Let's take a closer look...
No hands! (Riding down to the falls.)
Horseshoe Falls (otherwise known as the Canadian Falls) from above.
Next Stop: Journey Behind the Falls
I think we night get a little wet...
A view from the upper deck
Emma proving once again that if she is tired enough, she can sleep ANYWHERE!
Mommy & her girls
Lily posing at the Falls
The girls' favorite part of Niagara Falls...chasing gulls...oh well...
A picture of all four of us :)
The Maid of the Mist (we will be doing this tomorrow :)
Time for some food...
Lily was enjoying her desserts! Back to the hotel....
The girls' second favorite thing in Niagara Falls... the shoe polisher in our room ...oh well again...
It is hard to close the curtains and go to sleep when this is the view from your window :)
Today's Activities: Breakfast & a dip in the pool in MI, Crossing over into Canada (we of course chose the wrong customs lines...30 minute wait...), a stop at Tim Hortons to "refuel", Views, Views, and more Views of the Falls, a Journey Behind the Falls (apparently a very restful tour...just ask Emma), A walk along the Falls with time to chase a few gulls, A yummy italian dinner with mini ice cream cone dessert, Polishing feet, and some more illuminated views.
A great start to our visit to Niagara!
Great job again! I can see you guys are having fun. Keep it up. Grampie R.
